Brad, Greasing the gearbox as you describe is the correct approach. Its a real challenge is to keep water out of the gearbox in the long term. Remove the top half of the prop pitch housing and grease

Running without oil/grease is a definite NO No! With the high ratio gear box, the Motor and initial gears are running at several 1000 rpm. They definitely need lubricant. * 73's Jim W5IFP * mlcntusmu
