Sizeable towers with no concrete base must be a lot more common than I thought. I've gotten several direct responses on this. Since they didn't go to the reflector I'll only quote anonymous snippets.

Well this is just great! I just had 4 yards of concrete dumped in a grave size hole that took me 8 hours to hand dig. Now you guys come along and tell me people have been doing without all this work
