Gerald, I don't know what kind of N connectors you are getting, but the ones that I use have a rubber seal on the back of the connector and inside where they mate together. I NEVER put one out in the

N3HRT mentions using N connectors for splicing cables and I certainly agree with him that these connectors are far superior to the PL259s for that application, especially at VHF. I have use N connect
