Hello TTs Before I place my order for a pair of Force 12 antennas I thought I would put my design before the TT participants for a reality check and comments. First, let me thank those of you who hav

You don't mention your mast size or wall thickness. With 2" O.D. 1/4" wall at 70MPH, I calculate ~20,000 PSI yield strength required. For 1/8" wall I get ~32,500. At 90MPH the requirements go to ~32,

I use the same mounting scheme for two T2X rotators on two of my towers where the T2X's are mounted in 25G. I can see how you don't have to cut braces but only if you mount the rotator first and then

This seems to be a common problem with R25. Like the T2X, the M^2 Orion OR-2800 is just a tad too big to fit inside the cross braces. Has anyone investigated making spacers tubes to go between sectio

This is what I meant. You can fit a T2X inside a 25G section, but only if you have some other access other than through the braces. I tried for over an hour to get a T2X 7' below the top of a 120' to

If they do have access to other types of tubing they it is likely to not be galvanized. You would then have to find some one to hot dip galvanize the tubing unless you go with aluminum which is even

Not just softer, but also a lot whippier and ultimately less strong than, for example, chrome-moly. Around here, you can get hot dip galvanizing done fairly reasonably if you come up with the minimum

Hi Sylvan, I think your planned installation will exceed the tower rating. You have the wrong antenna areas for evaluating the tower. The Rohn allowable areas are projected areas (see Dwg C870484 R4

To my mind, the BEST way to mount a rotor below the open space in R25 towers is to place the rotor plate at the TOP of the next lower section and to cut ONE of the horizontal braces at the bottom of
