My dream antenna system is now completed. It is a Rohn 55, 110 foot rotating tower. The entire structure was installed by KC1XX, Matt, using K0XG rotating base and rings. For those of you who would l

Sherman, WOW! What a beautiful installation. I'd love to do something like that someday (when I win the lotto). That surely would cost me a years salary (or more.) My hat is off to you, and Matt KC1X

Hi All, Who makes slip rings for towers? I want to rotate a 55G tower. I know about RTS, and have a catalog. Are there any other vendors? 73 Tom -- FAQ on WWW: http://www.contesting.com/towertalkfaq.

Tom, I had my guy rings made at a local machine shop. They took flat stock and formed an inner angle ring and then an outer angle ring. The ends were welded together to close the rings. I mounted wp

I've started construction of a 150 ft Rohn 45 rotating tower using K0XG base and four rings, top ring at 140 ft. Just above the top ring will be a 3L40 and possibly a small 20 above that, like 3L. I'

Your comment puzzles me a bit as it *is* a rotating tower. :-) I have seen K0XG's product up close at Dayton in years past and helped K0RH raise antennas on his 140' rotating tower made of a microwav

There is no way to minimize the twisting of a rotating tower, unless you mount the rotator midway up the tower and use a star guy under the bearing. 3 element 40m beams can vary significantly in size

I have K0XG rings. Getting around them is not as easy as climbing a straight tower section, but it is doable if you are remotely in shape. Takes a bit of getting used to and can be a bit unnerving to
