Tom - The limitation on length is primarily just the ohmic losses in the cable, so just calculate what the loss of 300' of #14 wire is and then what length of how much longer the run can be using #12

Tom, Texas Towers sells what they call R84 which has 2 #12's & 6 #16s'. It will work fine however it is a little pricey at $1.19 @ foot. Clint - W5CPT _______________________________________________

Tom, I have only one Tailtwister currently in my station, using a 350 foot control cable. I did several things to obtain completely reliable operation: - I relocated the capacitor to the tower base (

If you relocate the capacitor to the tower, it frees up two conductors which can be wired in parallel with the brake and ground return wires. _______________________________________________ _________
