I have a MonstIR that I am putting on an HDX5106. I am going to use the M2 rotator that I got with the tower. If it breaks, I am going to replace it with a prop pitch. The ProSisTel will not fit into

Will the ProSisTel fit if the motor is repositioned? I had to reposition the motor to get it to fit into the ROHN45. Roger Halstead (K8RI and ARRL 40 year Life Member) N833R - World's oldest Debonair

Rick, As far as I'm aware, the 2800 has been proven time-and-again to be incapable of holding a MonstIR in even a moderate wind. I suggest you avoid needlessly repeating this mistake, and implement y

Howard, I should have been clearer in my reply to Rick's e-mail. Rick discussed using an M2 Orion 2800 or a prop-pitch rotator with the MonstIR. The M2 2800 Orion rotator has insufficient capacity to

That's really helpful, Frank. I had no idea how inadequate the Orion was. On K7NV's web site, he talks about "small, medium, and large" prop-pitch units. Is the "small" one adequate for the MonstIR?

Rick, I installed two M2 Orion 2800s in 1998, they've very reliably turned a 48 foot boom 15M Yagi on a 200 foot tower, and a 48 foot boom 20M Yagi on another 200 foot tower. Both of these rotators t
