If I recall correctly, the example of the SO-239 bulkhead adapter I described was manufactured by Greenpar Engineering, in Harlow, UK. Greenpar Engineering also manufactured a very easy to install PL

Hi John - what you're describing sounds a lot like a clamp-type PL-259. both these and crimp PL-259s are widely available on ebay, from the RF Connection (www.therfc.com) and all the usual suspects.
