About 25 years ago, I modeled this extensively, using TH-7s and C-3s as my antennas. I wrote an article in NCJ for July 1996 on my results, but unfortunately it is not available online.  I concluded

BTDT. 30 ft best compromise spacing for 20-15-10. Wider spacing may result in too many high angle lobes on 10. Will lower be fixed or rotable? 73 John N5CQ Sent from my iPhone _______________________

I had two 20M Mono banders at 160' and 110', on two seperate towers 100' apart and fed with a Stack Match. Worked great when I was contesting 10-20 years ago. Now have a T-10 at 110', and removing th

Depends on your terrain but 45 is pretty low.  My lowest of 3 is at 36 and its not very useful except maybe on 10.  I usually park it South to cover that direction and dont use as a stack.  My top 2

I have a 70ft tower. HFTA said that another beam at 40ft would really help with some angles to EU etc.  I am in a depression.  It was not my choice for radio but here we are :). I agree depending on

If you look at the jkantennas site they have modeling results from Mid-Tris stacked with 35 foot spacing. They may have more results that are not on the website. 73, George / W7GES __________________

In a stack a 45' high tribander should be useful, certainly better than no second tribander. Often you have to work around guy wires or other things on the tower, it is easy to model in EZNEC to see
