I am looking for some stainless steel wool. I need enough to plug the ends of two 4-inch PVC pipes. I have tried some hardware stores and restaurant supply places locally but haven't found any. I sea
Why steel wool of any kind? Use some pieces of fiberglass insulation material. Works fine and is CHEAP. Don N8DE _______________________________________________ ______________________________________

Paul, Perhaps a ball of regular steel wool in doubled zip-loc bags might do the trick at much less cost? Also, the critters won't tear at the steel wool since it is in bags. Vy 73, Gordon Beattie, W2
Paul: Must the material be metallic? If not, you might want to consider simple fiberglass insulation batting. (I'm assuming you want the material to plug the PVC where coax cables emerge.) I used ins
Paul, You can go to your local machine shop and find the equivalent in the aluminum shavings bin. The shop mgr. will prolly give you what you require for free or at a very reasonable price. 73, dave

Paul, I don't know why you're looking for "stainless steel wool" unless it's because it won't rust away (and mice seem to dislike it). How about those brass scrubbers that are used in the kitchen? Wo

TT'ers: Our local grocery chain carries Stainless Steel Sponges (that's how they're labelled) made by Fuller (the old brush co.?). They're compressed and come 3 to a package. Last a long time in kitc
