I'm looking for recomendations for least expensive but dependable TDR's usable for antenna phasing. Any comments on the Riser Bond 1205CXA or Tecktronix 1503 both of which are available on Ebay in th

Can't begin to remember the issue, but there was a simple homebrew, add-on to a scope, in Ham Radio Magazine. Feeble thoughts of a 555 chip. Maybe others, with, back issues, or the CD can find it. Ma

What frequency range? what do you want to do with the tdr? And will this be an on-going production or one time?? tdr's may not be the best thing to measure the length of a line, there are many other

For phasing? So, say you want 10 degree accuracy at 30 MHz.. that's a time delay of 33 ns/36 or about 1 ns precision. Might be easier to use an antenna analyzer, short the end of the coax, and look f

First thank you to all for the responses. Perhaps I have this all wrong but my plan was/is to phase two 4 el SteppIR's. I have the means to make the transmission lines electrically equal but thought

Greetings, Suggest an HP 3586 level meter. You can cut lines to within a 1/4 of an inch for phasing accuracy. .. 73 Rob VE6TR _______________________________________________ _________________________

Howard, Although I have no SteppIRs in my antenna farm, my old Hewlett Packard TDR is the most frequently used test equipment in my hamshack. Unfortunately, I'm certain that a TDR will not be able to

Perhaps I'm missing something but using a "phasing harness" with coax cut for a electrical length (usually a 1/4 wave of 75 ohm coax on either side of a "T") only works for a narrow band of frequenci
