Does anyone on the list have experience or comments (good/bad) concering the CDE TR44 rotors? I know these are older unit, but would one relubed and such still work good for a small tribander? 73s Jo

I agree with Steve ( WB2WIK/6 ) .... hunt around for the Ham Series in a CDE/Hygain Rotator A used Ham M which is easily and cheaply rebuilt and re-greased would be the best least expensive bet - I h

My TH3MK3-S manual shows 36 pounds. Not much over 28, but my CD 45 decided to break in the dead of winter, so that's why I went with a heavier duty rotator. As always, YMMV.... 73 - Mike K9MI _______

Hi John -- The TR44 does have a brake but it's a gravity type brake, not as effective as the wedge-type brake on the Ham M and up rotators. You can read about it on the first entry of this page on my
