go "bad". The adhesive pulls away as it is being un-rolled and partially sticks to the "top" of the tape. I think the last roll that did this was about 4 years old. As a result, I always use "fresh"

Yes, I can confirm that. I recently threw away a few cases of Scotch 33 that had been stored out in the garage for a few years. Ambient temp in there exceeds 120F in the summer for weeks on end. J.P.
