- Is there such a thing as a hazer that would work on an AN Wireless tower? (or any other tapered tower, I suppose.) Alan NV8A I don't if any are available commercially, but I did build one once. I use

- One might check companies that sell BIG flagpoles, steeplejack supplies, and rigging. For instance, they make something that looks much like a hazer for running up and down theatrical truss work in r

- I own an AN Wireless tower, and I believe it would be difficult to directly put a hazer on it. On each side, every other cross-member diagonal is on the outside of the tower, and as a result would in

- I don't have a tower yet, but I have pretty much decided that an AN Wireless one is the way to go, despite the current free shipping offer on a Trylon, and even though I don't need the more comprehen

- You need to use the version of the Hazer that rides on tracks on the side of the tower (Glen Martin Hazer 7 I think). You still need to figure out how to attach the tracks to the tower, but it does

- One other aspect. The AN being tapered, the top of the tram/sled that rides the below mentioned rails must be offset to compensate for the angle of the taper in order to keep the mast vertical. Good

- That is true, but since the tower is a uniforn taper, it would be easy to design the tracks to be against the side of the tower and to have the offset of the tower angle built into the tram itself. T

- My earlier estimate was wrong - - too high. Looking at the AN Wireless website, the difference on one side of the tower between the bottom and top of any section is 3-19/32 inches. Doing the math, th

- This would be the only way to go. By the time you got to the top of even a 60 foot tower, a vertical tram would be 12 inches out from the top of the tower, which would be the equivalent of mounting y

- I did not suggest that the rails be offset. Simply offset the top of the tram. Spacers? Shims of some type? Apparently an offset of less than an inch will be sufficient. _____________________________

- Or, if you are not going to install a 20 foot mast on the rotator just letting the antenna be slightly out-of-plumb won't hurt. Esthetics aside, it won't make any difference to the rf. I tinkered wit
