I wound about 15 turns of RG-142 on a toroid and need some way to secure the winding. There is not enough room left in the ID to wind tape so I thought some liquid "stuff" might do the job. Just dip

This stuff is much better than Silastic RTV (TM). It's easier, neater, and gives a good conformal coating. A low viscosity epoxy or resin such as Vinyl Ester Resin (Dow Derakane (sp?)) can also give

I mostly use a combination of tape and ty-wraps. It should be noted that 15 turns on a low-Q toroid (Fair-Rite #31, # 43) will produce a resonance in the low MHz range that won't be very sensitive to
