Hi All! I'm in the midst of putting up an antenna for WARC bands. I'm making a 130 foot dipole with tuned feeders. In reading about the feedline it stated that the foam 300 ohm solid ribbon is not th

Wet line may show an increase in loss but the antenna still works... I have 4 dipoles fed with "ladderline" and use them on all bands. Roughly 300 countries on each WARC band, all with wire antennas.

Tom What are you using for an antenna tuner? Describe your ladderline, wire gauge, spacing etc? Full power? Are the 2 80M dipoles at right angles so you can select direction somewhat. Ron N5IN -- To:

I have several Johnson Matchboxes, both the 250 W and KW versions. The 250W versions handle 1KW with no problem since they were designed for plate modulated AM which has twice the peak voltage of an

Tom, If you are willing to adjust the tuner, 300-ohm line should not create significant additiona losses compared to windowed 450-ohm line. However, there may be advantages to using one of the heavie

All that foam dielectrc introduces loss, which is exactly what you don't want when using tuned feeders. So, instead of the 300 ohm ribbon, try finding some 450 ohm ladder line instead. This has insul
