I have my Cushcraft A3S w/ A743 40m add on kit at 10' on a pole after refurbishing it. I've tuned it for the part of band I want (CW & RTTY) with my MFJ-259. My question is, how much will the tuning

One trick is to place the back of the boom and/or reflector on some saw horses and point the yagi straight up in the air to do your SWR checks prior to tower mounting -- IMHO it has worked great and

10' is too low to adjust the antenna. I have a Cushcraft A3 that I have use for contest expeditions and it works fine using the factory settings. If yours needs adjustment, perhaps something else is
