I have an 80 inverted V that I would like to transform to something useful for 30m. It is fed with RG213 and a balun at the feedpoint. It is close to 3/4 wavelengths on each side which might be ok bu

Mike, I've had a few 80m monoband antennas over the years (inverted V, vertical with top loading, full size verticals) and they all were pretty close to resonant on 30. They usually came in somewhere

My high 80M dipole is fed with 160 ft or so of a good RG11, but even with that great coax, there's far too much loss in the coax for the antenna to play well. It might just be easier to toss up an 1/

Maybe an 80 / 30 M. fan dipole? IOW, add a 30 meter Inverted-V to the 80 M. Inverted-V... 73, Doug http://www.w7kf.com _______________________________________________ ________________________________

Doesn't work - at least for me. The 80 meter element is too short but close enough to being resonant on 30 meters that I was never able to tune the 30 meter element so that it yielded a low SWR (show

The apex is at about 70ft so I can reach the ends without much difficulty. My high 80M dipole is fed with 160 ft or so of a good RG11, but even with that great coax, there's far too much loss in the

I was trying to avoid climbing.  I have a SteppIR with the 30/40 so this would be an extra antenna for the 2nd radio. I tried researching a 1.5 wavelength dipole antenna on the internet but didn't fi
