I've been working on putting up a US Tower MA$ rotatable mast. In my haste to put the mast vertical for the first time, the 2" innermost section wasn't tightened down and slid in to the base section.

I'd lower the mast to horizontal and remove the bottom cap. You should be able to remove the top mast section from there. You'll need a wrench to remove the screws securing the cap and a block of woo

OK. I pulled the bottom cap off and inside was the 3" square inner mast. Attached to this was the bracket for the raising cable and also a 4" round plate to guide it through the outer mast. i unhooke

You need invert the 3" tube slightly, so the top of the 3" tube is angled down. Use a smaller pipe that will fit INSIDE of the 2" mast so you can lift and align it with the 6" 2.5" stub thats welded
