Jerry, I apologise - I misunderstood which set of dimensions you had a problem with. For what it's worth, the N6LF QEX dimensions model OK, John's 80m dimensions model OK, but I can't get close with

Hi all, Shortly before we lost him all too early, I sent L.B. Cebik a note describing an idea I had for a vertical dipole. While he didn't go in to great detail, he did offer an excellent suggestion:

Kelly, let me make a suggestion here... For feeding this shortened vertical (OCF) at the junction of the hat and the vertical wire I would suggest a link coupled arrangement... Even though the feed p

This is not meant to suggest that it is not a compromise antenna, but I use the Hy-Gain AV640, which is a 3/8 wave radiator (either full (electrical) size, or shortened by a capacity hat, or one coil

I should call this antenna (EI7BA) vertical with 2 elevated radials and 2 top loading wires? Samir, SM7VZX Message: 1 Date: Wed, 18 Nov 2009 16:14:58 -0600 From: K4SAV <RadioIR@charter.net> Subject:

I can see what Jerry K4SAV is talking about. Using a 45 foot vertical wire and four 65 foot hat wires indicated by EI7BA, resonance is around 2.36 MHz in my EZNEC model. This varies somewhat dependin

Hi, Anyone have any information on how vertical dipoles perform when elevated? If I had one, I'd want to get it off the ground and above foliage, but I've only ever seen photos of them on the ground.

K9YC has vertical dipoles in tall trees similar to what you describe. You can see information and pictures in his PPT starting at about figure 60. http://audiosystemsgroup.com/NCDXACoaxChokesPPT.pdf

I built one for 40M and hung the top of it at about 100 ft in a redwood. I also modeled it in NEC. The model and on-the-air performance were in general agreement -- because of the way it interacts wi

I have two almost vertical dipoles made from old Mor-Gain 80/40 antennas. They are hung high in trees with the bottom 1/2 sloping slightly in the direction I desire. One slopes to the NE and the othe
