Terry, One of my Yaesu rotors (G-800) has THE EXACT problem and basically the EXACT readings as you have. I suspect it is the control unit in the shack, maybe damaged from a lightning surge. At this

Yes, I have a G2800 and it was behaving in a similar manner after a severe thunderstorm. Yaesu repaired the control box for about $80 or so. I'm not home and I forget the components that were replace
