40.64 cm = 16 inches exactly. The metric-conversions.org doesn't give an error for the comma as decimal seperator. It simply ignores everything after the comma, or any other character. For example 16

I'm rarely sarcastic, but is it really necessary for people to have to use google to multiply 16.375 by 2.54 to get the ans in CM or 25.4 to get in in mm? It is straight multiplication. _____________

My point was that google can convert units that you may or may not be familiar with. You can convert US gallons to cubic centimeters with a single multiplication if you can find the conversion factor
