Hi guys,   My triex w51 crankup folded over in a windstorm the other day.  I'm going to have to do some cutting on it to get it all the way down and apart.     What is the best way to cut this stuff?

I cut out a Rohn 45 base many years ago using the metal cutting disk on my circular saw. Yes there are metal cutting disks for circular saws. I used to use mine to cut fenders off cars when I was rep

A reciprocating saw (sawsall) will zip through it like it's nothing. Get a 14 tooth per inch blade. Chris KF7P A small right angle grinder with a thin abrasive blade will make short work of the job.

A reciprocating saw like a Saw-z-All would be the proper tool. One thing to keep in mind, the twisted legs are under tension and can be dangerous. When you cut through the leg, it can spring back muc

On A tower leg in tension, an angle grinder or circular saw would be about the most dangerous tools available for the job. Both are unstable and tend to hard to control. They have a very dangerous te

That's the concern I would have about using a circular saw and abrasive blades to cut tower legs that are under compression. Cutting legs under tension would theoretically be safer, except that as so

Gary, Forgot to say that the "Super Sawzall" is a reciprocating saw. Last week I had to cut off a few guy anchors that were 1.25" in dia solid steel and this saw did the job in short order. Tim the t
