Well my plans to go 100' are scrapped to the county restrictions. But I can go 90' with rohn 45. Per Rohn 45g spec the guy levels for 100' are 31', 61 and 94' at 110mpg. The spec for 90' only require

You need to consider how you plan on using this tower. If you are going to side mount rotatable antennas, you need to place the guys so they wont interfere. If you are only using the top of your towe

Bill Since when did Rohn/Radian get into the OIL BUSINESS - Per Rohn 45g spec the guy levels for 100' are 31', 61 and 94' at 110mpg. mp"G" ?!? All kidding aside, if you want to go 100 feet and the li

Me personally I would never go more than 40 foot spacing with Rohn 45. That first or lower guy at 59 feet seems very odd to me. My Rohn book says for 90 foot of R45 in 110 mph use 39 and 85 feet for

Add me to the list of those who think 59 feet is to far for the first set of guys. I wouldn't be comfortable with 59 feet using Rohn 55. Climbing the first 59 feet of 45 would definitely be exhilarat

I was under the impression that one shouldn't guy a tower at regular spacings, because the wind can excite standing vibrational modes in the tower that can lead to failure. In such modes, the vibrati

All of Rohns spacings are non interger for that reason but I doubt equal spacing would have much effect on a short tower. My 180' 45G is guyed at 40/80/120/160 primarily since it is at the section ju

I guess it will all depend on how strict the county were I live wants to be. They seem to think that my spec sheet from Rohn needs a official state engineer stamp !! Rohn is charging me $250 dollars

Unless the tower was heavily loaded and therefore required it, I would never put the guy at the very top. It is MUCH easier to work around the top of the tower if the guy is 5 feet down. 73 Don VE6JY

That was true in the old TIA-222-F specification. With the more robust girth of current engineers, 5 foot 6 inch spacing has been specified in TIA-222-G. 73 de Bob - KØRC in MN --Original Mess
