I want to upgrade antennas for 160m from my current inverted vee @ 115'. I'd like to put up an inverted L to get some vertical plus horizontal polarization for DX and domestic contesting. My situatio

Will, Have you considered suspending an inverted-L, or a T vertical, between your towers? Unfortunately, you're likely to have parasitic effects between any vertical and your two towers, both of whic

Since you have two towers, you can easily hang a top-loaded Tee, which is even better than an inverted L, because it has relatively little high angle radiation. I've used one for several years, and i

Will, Those towers are inevitably going to be a parasitic part of your 160m antenna system. If you have a modeling capability you could look at it, or if like me you could just hang an inverted L up

Hi Will, From my personal experience, my inverted L works fairly well. I have a US Towers TX-455. At the top of the tower I put a "yardarm" out to the side that has a pulley on it to raise and lower
