Rich, I live in a urban environment where QRM/N is S8-9 all day (that's why my request about k9ay) and i can say you YES, Wellbrook loop makes the difference , you can receive signals even 4-5 S poin

I had just one a couple years ago and heard better on my rotatable 80 and 160 sloper than on the single K9AY Never did figure that out but it was close to a building as I live in a small town How far

When I had my K9AY up and running...I drove a copper water pipe about 2 feet deep, mounted the unit on the pipe...then put down about 15 or 20 radials under the array...seemed to work very nicely...Y
