Let me clarify one thing. Any symmetrical (about the boom) surface areas parallel to the elements will cancel. And surface area parallel to the boom will not. So the ENDS of the traps are not balance

Rather than attacking the problem of weight balance vs 'weathervane effect' of the KT34XA, wouldn't it be easier to put some extra weight inside the boom on the director end, and move the boom to mas
