i used pvc EMT. here it's 20-25 cents a ft in 10 ft lengths. 1/2'' is ok for rg8x or rg8 WITHOUT connectors. if you put on pl259s you'll need 3/4'' EMT. use general purpose pvc/cpvc cement. that elim
