- The old 'bluing' coating on rebar had a very short lifetime. The new coating, green in color, is a much better coating. But that will degrade also. Just drive by a road construction stockpiling area

- At what point are they rusting? if this is a US Tower, my understanding is that the only exposed part should be the threads that protrude above the nuts. It's easy enough to spray some rust preventat
