As I collect the bits and pieces to build my C-3 stack next summer, I'm confronting the need to replace my top set of guys with non-conducting material, probably fiberglass rod. Material's no problem

This is a good exercise. Using a rope is "okay" as a temporary but I would probably use some steel wire rope pulled by a cable grip (like a Klein Chicago grip) and a comealong cable puller. Use a nyl
