You would not want to seal the ends....water in the tower needs a place to drain to...sand or gravel at the bottom of the hole... _______________________________________________ _____________________

No difference in wall thickness etc? Bottom sections are just shorter? Is it better off cost wise to just buy a normal section for the base and get the few feet extra in height? Thanks again ________

The shorter ones as I understand it are so you can leave them behind in the ground without leaving your tower behind if you move and so when you calculate height you don't loose 4ft in the ground. I

No difference in construction. Cost decision is yours to make depending depending on which half section you want to throw away when you move. Id personally never buy a new half section. Carl KM1H ___
