You might consider the alfaspid rotor as well. A very heavy worm gear driven DC rotor. Check their website, its turning some big stuff. 73 Mark W0NCL _______________________________________________ S

Greg, In terms of brute strength, quality of worksmanship, and dedicated customer support from Wyatt Lyzenga and colleagues in Fresno, I don't think you can beat the M^2 Orion OR2800 PDC rotator base

I'm not familiar with the M2 rotor, but to me, the HDR- 300 isn't even in the same league as the PST-61. I went through several HDR 300s in as many weeks. I ordered the PST-61 and it's been going a g

Oops... You also asked why. The PST-61 is rugged, requires no brake and has no play. The HDR 300 requires a brake, the brake switching is really odd ball in that you have to manually turn off the bra

The M2 OR-2800 is a great rotator. Just Check the specs. Also, service from M2 is outstanding... 73, Ted K2QMF P.S. - Make sure you get the new version with the green readouts.. Has all the updates.
