My solution was very "low-tech". I only peeled back the smallest area of the shrink-wrap necessary to replace the screw, then I used Scotch 88 electrician's tape, wrapped liberally around the trap an

I have had good luck with shrink tubing and plain old Scotch 33 tape. Both have help up for several years so far. I cut back the ole covering just enough to clean the joint and put in a new ss screw
