Your indicator problem *could* be many things. Obviously wiring, problems in the control box, mechanical disconnect between pot and upper housing, etc come to mind. it *could* also be the problem I e

I had the same problem, I used a piece of brass tubing from a hobby shop soldered to the wiper to repair it. I also decreased the tension on the spring pulling on the wiper and put some lubricant on
