- Hi Jamie.. a pre-amp is a must for that band, but im a little worried about 125 ft of coax on 1.2 thats a major run of cable for RG-8 type have you looked at the losses at those freq for that cable?

- other than spending big $$$ on a preamp you should probably look around for better Coax.. Bury flex is not a Low loss cable... at 1296 anyway.. you are looking at a 6.8 db loss this is going to take

- Having read all that has been replied publicly, Yes, definitely, if you are stuck on using the "bury-flex" cable. If at all possible, score some surplus hardline, or consider putting the PA as well
