Bob If you stay with a windows machine I wood bet that your sound card will need to be replaced. Creative is not real good about updating older cards for Windows 7. I'm not sure about windows 8 eithe

What problems do each present. I know the windows machine is less expensive, but I am getting tired of keeping anti-virus software up to date, upgrades etc. Unless you plan to load VMWare or Parallel
