I don't understand why there's such confusion over this. CW is abbreviated all the time: TU, K, 73, etc. There are recognized (and some not so recognized) abbreviations for numbers. You need to take

I'm not sure what this has to do with Writelog, but I very much dislike the use of cut numbers, too. N for 9 has been in heavy use for years and I don't have a problem with that, and not with K = 100

It depends on the mode in use. In CW, it is normal and acceptable to use CW cut number conventions. In other modes, cut numbers are _totally_ inappropriate. It bugs me every time I print a 5NN on RTT
