If all you want to do is interface the Writelog voice keyer to the rig, the absolute simplest way to do it is to just run the speaker output from the laptop to the phone patch input on the rig, with

AMEN! AMEN! If you look hard enough, you should be able to find some specific information on the sound used for your Dell of interest - much better info than from other manufacturers I've explored.
