Joe, No, this is not the way it is supposed to work. You should be able to edit the call sign, hit enter and put your cursor back on the log line and proceed with the next contact. There was a WL rel

The best procedure is to change the call sign (when mis typed) as soon as you see it. Its no longer considered good practice to edit the log after the contest except to get the country file updated.
