I bought an add-on serial card only to find that there is no TXD. Does anyone know of any add-on cards that do have a TXD line. I need it for FSK and rig control. Thanks Ed W3NR -- Outgoing mail is c

Ric is right. TXD and RXD are the pins that send and receive data. Without them, the ports are useless - for rig control in this case. I doubt that you need these pins to control anything (PTT or FSK

On another note, the serial controller chip needs to support 5 bit data on the TxD line for FSK to work in Baudot mode. Some of the newest chips have dropped 5 bit support. Mike, W1NR Not true, FSK i

I disabled my TXD line with my breakout box and I am still happily sending FSK through Writelog and my RigBlaster to my various rigs. I have no idea what you are talking about Jerry. Bob N4HY Not tru

Are you sure you're not sending AFSK? WriteLog sends 5-bit Baudot FSK on the TxD line - No other way to get that info that I am aware of. AFSK is another whole story. Ditto the Rigblaster. Good examp

TXD is the FSK data lead, so you need that for sure Ric Ric is right. TXD and RXD are the pins that send and receive data. Without them, the ports are useless - for rig control in this case. I doubt

I think there is confusion between FSK and AFSK The audio thru the rig balster would be AFSK If you want to drive the FSK into the tranceiver you need TXD Ric KV1W or ________________________________

I am hard keying both my IC756ProII and my FT1000MP with the DTR/RTS lines through the Rigblaster Pro. There is no TXD involved in my set up. I can send either AFSK or FSK, but I use FSK in RTTY mode
