- Writelog will always show Com1, Com2, Com3, and Com4. The CommSlot3=5 command in the .ini file does not change this on the Writelog Setup Ports screen. It merely instructs Writelog to use Com5 as tho

- One word of CAUTION Writelog .ini entries ARE VERY CASE SENSITIVE It must be: CommSlot3=7 for example if you use lower case it won't be recognized or if all case it won't work etc Maybe that's the is

- Thank you to everyone that provided the correct fix to get WriteLog to recognize CommSlots in Vista. I would have never figured this out myself. The writelog.ini file in C:\Users\[UserName]\AppData\L
