The key may be what speed the KAM defaults to. Perhaps it's different from what your Win2k install of Writelog is configured for? If it's not running at the same speed as you are "talking" it won't r

I've got a couple of KAM+s also, but not in use now. If I remember correctly, Pacterm sets the KAM into another mode from the original state. Which is why you're seeing WL OK after Pacterm runs. Gues
