Is it possible to have PTT and rig control on separate serial ports? I have checked the WL archives but didn't see anyone trying that exactly. Also experimented in WL by setting rig control on one co

Sure - That's what I usually do. I have rig control on one port and a FSK/PTT cable on another. Works fine. I could also do PTT via CAT rig control, but I don't usually do it that way. I think you w

PTT on a separate port works fine for me. COM 2 selected for CW and it does not matter what rig is selected. PTT set to YES. All Mode PTT on CW port RTS selected. I do think it is not well done as a

Gil, Is this working because your CW ptt is kicking in? when i turn my sound card interface off, hitting F3 plays my wav file... but i can't get it to trigger the PTT on com1 when com4 is my "rig". I

Steve, it doesn't work that way. When you check the RIG box and set PTT = YES, you are telling WL to do PTT via CAT control - which you have on COM 4. If you want PTT on com 1, you need to indicate

Ok. Not exactly what i was trying to say. But i'll just rebuild my interface to use a serial port for cw keying and then choose all mode ptt via RTS or whatever and that will solve my problem. I just
