- Gary, Look closely at your F keys. Are they labeled with a dual function? If so, check your keyboard. There is probably a key that shifts the F keys into an alternate mode, sort of like having a CAPS

- Unfortunately, this "feature" can also be hard-wired into the keyboard, independent of the BIOS, with no way to restore normal Fn operation. I have some generic HP keyboards that work that way. Ed W0
