Hi all. I've just bought brand new transceiver FT-920. It works great. First QSOs gave me amazing signal quality reports. I have only one question - can FT-920 transmit AM without YF-116A filter? I h

Yes, you need the AM filter to receive and transmit in AM. You also need to change one of the menu options to say the filter is installed. Congratulations on your purchase. The FT-920 is an excellent

Hi Don Ok, thanks for your reply. But mine can receive AM stations even when I switch it to narrow. Igor to change one of the menu options to say the filter is installed. ____________________________

You have to buy it,same thing if you want to transmit in FM. You can receive but not transmit. As for me the only cons. of this rig are AM-FM missing on default and filters. For the rest I love him.
