Just Purchased a FT-1000mp Mark V I am having some trouble getting it to communicate with my computer. Is there a secret to accomplishing this. I have tried about all the normal things different port

Hi... In difference to other transceivers, the FT1000MP MkV needs in the CAT setting 2 stop-bits. Only with this I got MixW running with CAT together with my FT1000MP MkV Field. 73! Thomas DG8FBV --

I don't believe you can simply connect the PC to the radio using a null cable. Check the wiring diagram for the radio to ensure you don't need to build or purchase a custom interface cable. 73, dave

Hi Guys First - A null cable is not the correct cable. Any regular RS232 cable should work - though I believe you may need a gender changer somewhere along the way. Secondly - You will need some kind
