Last night I helped a friend fit a couple of Inrad filters to his FT-1000D. Looking on the lower main board, I noticed a switch marked 'S3001' that has '50W' against one position and nothing against

All - FYI. I sent this to John directly. I use my D to drive an Alpha 87A. The D's Band Data pin 2 goes to the Alpha's "Relay" RCA" Jack. Band Data pins 3 AND 8 are tied together and to the ground/sh

I tried using the Band Data pins to switch an Alpha 76CA. It worked great for a short time, then blew the transistor. Be cautious. 73 Saul K2XA -- Original Message -- From: "Steve Lawrence" <smlx@ear

The keying transistor in the FT-1000MP is specified to handle 12 volts. The Alpha amplifiers have about 24 volts on the key line. That said, I measured the breakdown voltage of the transistor in my M
