- Harry NOt sure of your application, but the FT900 has a mod that allows all band transmit, so I'm relatively certain the others will also. Check with your local dealer. The mod is in their tech notes

- Yes, Harry they can. At least for the FT1000MP, which can be put in General Coverage transmit from a (normally hidden) service menu. I don't personally know about other models in Yaesu's recent line,
