- Hi Steve... Lucky you... a new, high end transceiver with the wife's blessing. I had a fully loaded FT-1000D for about 5 years before switching to the fully loaded MP. My bottom line opinion is that

- I've had them both and now own and use a FT1000MP. If I had it to do all over again again then I would still pick the MP, no doubt about it for me. You have slower tuning on the MP. which is adjustab
