Installed the 250 Hz INRAD 2nd IF filter I didn't really need :-). Noted on both the INRAD and Yaesu 250 Hz filter that when it rolls off out of the passband there is still some signal detectable for

Hi, JayI can't fully answer your question so far as whether you should or should not be able to still hear the marker signal, from what you describe- but that sounds a little suspect. In my FT-1000D,
